This week I’ve began my purge of my belongings in preparation of my move to South Korea in six weeks time. Like I’ve added in the description of the video, if anybody has any advice on streamlining your wardrobe and belongings for moving abroad permanently please do let me know so I can apply them to my bags when packing. I’m also thinking of doing an entire dedicated video on the things I’m bringing with me and how to efficiently pack, so please feel free to let me know if you’d like to see that content in the comments.
If you’d like to follow my journey this summer while I move to South Korea and the subsequent travels, you can subscribe to my YouTube channel here.
Congrats on getting the job π All the best.
I wish I had purged much harder when I first moved to China in 1997! However, I also brought three of my children with me. As for clothing, consider taking less and buying when there. You will have a better idea of what you need after a couple of months.
Great advice, thank you! If you could take a second to subscribe to my YouTube channel Iβd really appreciate it!! https://m.youtube.com/channel/UC5zGoHEYgKJgqXb1DPF3hKQ
I went several years ago with a trunk and a suitcase. As long as you are not too tall you should be able to find clothing in Korea that is stylish. I assume they are still have clothing factories in Korea and they have not been moved to a cheaper country. It can be quite cold in Korea in the Winter and hot in the summer. They have four distinct seasons.

Stationed inTaegu, the former spelling of Daegu, in 1969. It was of a different time then: more like the 19th than the 20th century.
It will be a great experience and opportunity for you.
Interesting! Thank you
Congratulations!! I hope your move will go smoothly! And cheers to purging one’s belongings….I actually limited myself to 2 large suitcases when I moved to Europe π
