For the first time in several years, last summer I spent the majority of my time at home in Glasgow. I took the opportunity to explore my city more, collaborating with local hotels and restaurants over the season and growing my portfolio of collaborations in the process. As well as this, I worked towards creating an eBook on Glasgow for my subscribers to purchase. The result was ‘An Art Lover’s Guide to Glasgow’ which is available on all Amazon stores now for just £2.99.
In this short book I’ve combined my love for art with that for my native Glasgow. By further expanding my knowledge of Glasgow as local, using my experience in the art history field and having greatly considered what people visiting the city would enjoy visiting, I’ve collated tens architectural, structural and artistic sights and added analysis, photographs and details of how to access them.
Spanning from the East End, through the city centre and to the West End, I’ve tried to include locations that are not only well advertised and visited, but those further off the beaten track. By featuring chapters on the architecture, street art and bridges present on the city streets as well as its many museums and religious buildings, I’ve tried to be all encompassing of each artistic aspect Glasgow has to offer.
If you’d like to support a small blog I would really appreciate any purchases of the book, and please do let me know what you think of it. I am considering turning the book into a series of eBooks on Glasgow, so let me know what other categories you would like to see.
